Faith After Mormonism exists to provide resources to help people coming out of Mormonism into a new faith in Christ.

This site is a companion to our YouTube channel, Faith After Mormonism.

Faith After Mormonism is operated by Utah Advance Ministries, which works to advance  healthy churches in the Intermountain West, through church planting, consulting, written resources, and thoughtful analysis. We hope help churches wisely and sensitively enfold transitioning Mormons as they look for a new spiritual home.

Our editor and primary writer is Ross Anderson. Born and raised as an active Latter-day Saint, Ross left Mormonism and came to follow Jesus in a new way during his college years. In over 30 years of ministry in Utah, Ross has been involved in starting a number of new congregations. His experience as a former Mormon and as a Utah pastor give him a distinctive insight into ministry in the unique religious and cultural climate of Utah and surrounding states.

Ross has contributed to numerous articles and seminars, including Urbana 2015. His book Understanding the Book of Mormon was released by Zondervan in 2009.  Understanding Your Mormon Neighbor, also by Zondervan, came out in 2011. A study guide for former Mormons called Jesus Without Joseph is available as an e-book.

Ross currently serves as Executive Director of Utah Advance Ministries, as a teaching pastor at Alpine Church, a multi-site church in northern Utah, and as a writer and editor for, a resource website for growing disciples and disciple makers.
