Our purpose is to provide hope and wisdom for people leaving Mormonism to explore a new faith home
in historic, biblical Christianity. Through speakers, workshops, exhibitors, and individual interactions,
you will receive helpful resources and meet others on a similar journey.

The Leaders’ Forum is a separate event free for Christian pastors and leaders. Learn more by clicking here.

Pre-registration is now closed. Walk-up registration is available.

You are invited to register at the door on Friday, October 11 between 6:00 and 6:30 pm,
or on Saturday, October 12 between 8:00 and 9:00 am.

The cost for walk-up registration is $25 per person, which includes lunch on Saturday.

Speakers and Workshop Leaders at the 2019 Conference:

Sandra Tanner – Co-founder of Utah Lighthouse Ministry, editor of the Salt Lake City Messenger newsletter, and co-author of over 40 books on Mormonism, including Mormonism-Shadow or Reality? and The Changing World of Mormonism. Through her bookstore, Sandra has been the first point of contact for untold numbers of people leaving Mormonism over the years.

Lisa Brockman – Author of Out of Zion: Meeting Jesus in the Shadow of the Mormon Temple, her story of growing up LDS and finding Jesus after Mormonism. A staff member of CRU, Lisa is passionate about her family, theology, spiritual formation, and Jesus. She and her husband, Dennis have 5 children, and make their home in Florida. 

Tracy Tennant – Author of Confessions of an Ex-Mormon: What I Wish I Knew When I Left the Church, Confessions of an Ex-Mormon Recovery Journal, and more, full of wisdom she has gained on her faith journey from Mormonism. Tracy blogs and podcasts on religion, family, food, adult ADHD and women. She is the mother of 10 children.

Ross Anderson – Author of Understanding Your Mormon Neighbor, Jesus Without Joseph: Following Christ After Leaving Mormonism, and other titles. Ross also grew up Mormon. He is director of Utah Advance Ministries, founder of Faith After Mormonism and a Teaching Pastor at Alpine Church. Ross and his wife Sally have 5 adult children.

Fred Anson – Editor of the Beggar’s Bread website, featuring a rich collection of articles on Christianity often emphasizing Mormon studies. Fred is also administrator of several internet discussion groups and communities, including two Facebook Support Groups (Ex-Mormon Christians and Ex-Mormon Christians Manhood Quorum).

Several former Latter-day Saints at different stages of their journey will
discuss their challenges and progress in finding a new faith home.

Out of Zion: Meeting Jesus in the Shadow of the Mormon Temple

Lisa Brockman will tell her story of growing up LDS and the key conversations that led to her journey away from the faith
of her ancestors. She will offer key lessons learned on her way to discovering and growing a relationship with Jesus.

Saturday, October 12th

A Conversation with Sandra Tanner

In an engaging conversation format, Sandra will share valuable insights gained from her years of
interactions with people who are taking their first steps out of Mormonism. With Ross Anderson.

Workshop Topics—Saturday, October 12th

Each workshop will be offered twice on Saturday morning, at 9:00 and 10:00. You will be able to attend two of the three.

Important Details

Child care is not provided for this event. Older children are invited to attend with a paid ticket.

The ticket price includes lunch on Saturday. We are not able to accommodate special dietary needs at lunch; please plan accordingly.

If you register as a volunteer, you will be assigned to help with practical duties as part of a team on the days of the Conference.

Remote Viewing Option

If it is too far for you to travel to Utah for the Conference, we plan to record all the sessions, edit them, and post them shortly after the conference is over. We encourage people to gather with others to view and discuss the sessions at a schedule convenient for you. Check back here for a link to watch the videos.
